Give me strength to fight this feeling
That’s lying in my heart
Feeling like its all gone wrong

Looking back to years gone by
The  years of love and joy
Happiness, my favourite word
Has long since left the boy

Feels like the storm is building up
Feels like the world is breaking down
Feels like we’re headed underground

Seems like the miracle has past
Seems like the life we knew is lost
Seems like the dreams we dreamed have gone

Beneath the skies

With no intention to compromise
But now we realise
We had peace in our eyes

I can feel the tension rising
I feel it from the news
Networked pictures from the world
Are leaving me abused

Global warming, global hating
The message here is clear
Humanity is so unstable
As we all live in fear

Why does it have to end with death
Why must destruction be the goal
Why won’t our peaceful lives enrich their souls

It should be the warlords fronting the fight
It should be the tyrants losing their lives
It should be the innocents who survive

Well, I look back in anger
I look back in shame
Nothing is learnt
and I know who to blame
