“One of the pieces I’m most satisfied with.” — Stuart Adamson, Melody Maker interview, March 26, 1990

“East of Eden”  is track 3 on side 1 of Disc 2 of the 1984 2LP UK compilation “Now That’s What I Call Music 4”  (Not available on the CD edition). This version is unique to this release.

“A slightly different version to the album and single versions of this song. The change occurs at 3:35 where an extra chorus is sung instead of the instrumental break. This mix only available on the UK compilation album "Now That's What I Call Music - Volume 4" The Rough Mix of "East Of Eden" on the 2014 editions of "Steeltown" also feature this extra chorus at 3:35 interestingly enough.”  - 'Pie Ness' on YouTube
